Term 4 2022

Term 4 training is in full swing and we are looking forward to our summer block of training. We currently have the following squads;

Wednesdays we have Kids Tri Training (Base squad). We focus on our run fitness and speed, transition skills, bike skills, bike handling and group riding. On a Wednesday we also have a development squad for those looking to advance and develop their skills to the next level. Both of these sessions are held at St Ives Showground.

Thursday we have a running squad at Hassall Park St Ives. This squad works on technique, speed and fitness.

We cater for all age groups and if you would like to join us this term the please contact us for details.

CSSA Secondary Triathlon

On Thursday, 20 October 2022, 5 of our athletes went out to the Nepean Regatta Centre to compete in the CSSA Secondary Triathlon. For a few of them, it was their first time competing in a triathlon. The conditions were cloudy with a few patches of rain, but a great day to race. There were many different competitors from experienced triathletes in NSW pathways programs to first timers. We had many great results for the individuals, Madeline coming in 10th and Chloe in 11th for the Intermediate Girls, Alex in 23rd for the Intermediate Boys and Ellie in 9th for the Junior Girls. Chloe and Madeline did well in their team to come 7th and Joshua completed the run leg for his team. Everyone put in their best efforts, had a fun time with great results. Well done everyone on the hard training over the last couple of months to prepare for this race.

Kids Tri Training Term 4 Wrap

Over the last 8 weeks we have had an eager group of kids gathering at St Ives Showground each week to learn more about triathlon, develop improved skills and technique, get fitter and have fun. We finished at the weekend by competing in the Go-Series triathlon at Manly Dam. This was a great term of training with a great bunch of kids. We look forward to returning to training Term 1, 2021 but not too soon as we also want to enjoy Christmas and the School holidays.

Go Series Race #2 2019/20

Race #2 of the Go Series was held at the weekend. Due to the recent heavy rains the format was changed from a Triathlon to a Duathlon. Even though there was a change in format race numbers were still high and the kids enthusiasm was even higher. This was another great opportunity for the kids to race and also put their skills from training into practice. We can’t wait for the next race in two weeks time. Fingers crossed the water will be given the all clear for a swim and return to triathlon format.
